Hi, I took it for 6 weeks. It worked wonders for the PN pain. But it totally messed with my personality/mind.
I spent those 6 weeks, *not* enjoying being pain free, walking outdoors, doing things that I haven't been able to for 8 years, but sitting inside my house smoking cigarettes and not talking to anyone.
At the end of 6 weeks, people asked me where I had been because NO_ONE had seen me out and about. They thought I left town.
I am not a hermit by nature.
But I wanted this med to work so bad I kept taking it for those 6 weeks. I played with the dosage so don't remember the exact doses. But every time I brought the dose down enough so that I felt more like myself, the pain returned.

I gave up on Lyrica after that.

messed with me when I took it for nerve pain that I have, felt weird, lost, and I already have memory issues so do not need that...

I am on neurontin for few years now for my nerve pain which never have had to increase dosage from three times a day, each 300mg... but surely this too has side effects. I think each body is different, as some neurontin does not do well for or side effects too much and the lyrica works fro them...

good luck,sarah

I sat in the parking lot of Dollar General....wondering how I got there, and which way was East. I think I got a good deal on some rip off toothpaste....I think.
Did I mention the sensation of Deja Vu....maybe that good deal was in a past lifetime.

Default LYRICA is dangerous and TERRIBLE!

I took Lyrica for seven months. I gained over 70 pounds and it completely destroyed my teeth. I had perfect teeth before using Lyrica, then I had to have NINE root canals, an implant and many, many caps. I have always taken very good care of my teeth (Orthodontia, Flossing, Dentist every six months, etc.). When I was on Lyrica, one day a tooth just broke off!

The only change in my lifestyle, before all of these problems, was taking Lyrica. It wasn't due to dry-mouth, as I drank water all day and night. I brushed two to three rimes a day, flossed every day. The damage occurred from the inside and some enamel came off the front teeth.

I have lost most of the weight, but still have 25 K dollars more to spend on dental restoration. Lyrica ruined my life.

I blew up like a balloon on Lyrica. Terrible swelling in legs and feet especially. Back on neurontin.
