Rrae, I didn't have much of a weekend. Spent most of it on my hands and knees helping my husband battle the chickweed invasion. We've never had it before, and can't imagine why we have it now.

Cy, I don't know how you do it. Here is my problem. I haven't been able to squat in years, and need something nearby when I pull myself up from the ground. I can crawl around on my hands and knees but need hubby to help me up. So, I can only assist with garden work, I can't do it independently.

I've considered one of these contraptions (Gardener's kneeling/sitting bench):

But I'm not sure if it would be sturdy enough, or high enough (19"), to be much help in pushing myself to a standing position. I use a cane, but have thought about a walker just for garden/yard work. Any suggestions?

CHICKweed invasion! OH Myyy! I hope they weren't armed! I think I've got an accurate visual on that one.....

But, yeah, the gardening thing.......I use one of those 'bleecher seats' that we take to the boy's baseball games. I can get UP from a sitting position, but there is NO way I could get around on my knees! Ouch!!

That contraption looks like a good idea tho!

I noticed your absence too, cy. Wasn't doing anything exciting, but there was yardwork. Good to see you peeking in!

Oh, I am here! I have been outdoors a bit more and when I come in, I am so crapped out, I land in bed.

I sit on a little step stool in my 'garden'. I have several strategically placed, so I don't have to haul them. Fact is, I need a zombie body....or I guess more technologically advanced...an avatar!

I need my own avatar, sans tail. Tail would get dipped in the toilet....people would be telling me... "Mam, I hate to bring this up, but your tail is wet." It would be like walking around with TP, stuck to some posterior place on your body.

Anyway, I think they need to move on this idea of body parts for PNers...and fast.

My legs are going to crap out on me soon. Like I said, right now, DENIAL still works, for a part of the day. It won't work for long, so I am making hay while the sun shines!! Pretty soon, I will be on here all the time! You will all be soooo sick of me. I may need to go voice activated by then....both ends of me are not doing so well....legs and hands.

I have just scheduled a slew of doctor and dentist appointments I have been trying to avoid, and no longer can't. Ugh, ugh. At best, they are an educated guess with a big bill to follow. But a few issues here do need to be dealt with.

It is a lovely day and my lawn is in need of mowing and my garden beckons and maybe I can last an hour, or two...and then I can retreat into my 'as needed' bottle of pretend relief....that most people could sell for big bucks....if only the darn crap worked on pain before it plugged up vital functions. Let's see....garden or grass....Garden wins!! I need to weed and thin things, which means by noon, I will want to chop off my hands.

The great outdoors calls....I will be back....never fear!

The chick pics are so cute....no one posts ugly rooster pics! A chick becomes a hen....then an old hen....then she goes in the pot (when she can't 'lay' any more) ....or to pot, in my case. Apparently I am not a good layer any more either. cluck, cluck.

Yeah, or a booger on your nose, except nobody tells you when you have one of those unless they really, really love you.

As one old bird to another, I say you're great. Don't stay away so long!

Lately, I watch more commercials on TV than TV. I am sick of blowhard politicians and I have watched every 'Deadliest Catch', 'House Hunters' and 'Ghost Hunters'....and so on.

I love the commerical with the snow monkeys soaking in the geothermal pond....they look sooooo relaxed. If I could ever achieve that state again, it would be bliss. It's a commerical for tankless waterheaters but those monkeys are sooo cute. (I guess I am a sucker for cute animals.)

If I ever bite it....I left instructions to let you guys know. Until then, consider any of my absences a good nap....or I fell in the basement and I can't get up, and my husband forgot he was married to some one, for 37 years, so he didn't look for me. Today, I decided to straighten up down there, just in case! I wear nice underwear too, just in case.

You know, thanks to PN, there are things that are there, that I can not feel....like my right leg....and then there are things that I can feel, that are not there.....

I think I am sitting on my tail!! And it's wet....

I don't think it is good to mess with Mother Nature!

Oh, back to commercials....the talking babies of course, and really cute....and I like the credit scores that are dogs....'Bad 509, bad, bad!' and the score catcher when he falls chasing a score....and then the 'Nice 754, you are such a nice 754....' or whatever number it is. Now, I am not endorsing products or services, but, I wonder what 'medication' some of these creative advertising people are on! I want a job like that!!

I ended up with an event monitor on....I tried to tell the folks at the clinic that I erupt when I have anything sticky on me....Lord....I have these quarter sized elevated, angry red, itchy things from wearing the electrodes for 1 day! Ugh, 30 to go! I will have 60 spots that don't fade even from steroid cream for 6 weeks! There has to be a better way. Of course, if any one ever wore an event monitor.....does it always have to cause all arrhythmias to suddenly grown quiescent???

I will definitely look like that rooster....or some turkey vulture....or a target!
