I've been diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy over a year ago, and the symptoms (e.g. severe burning all over the body, etc.) have gotten even worse lately. About a week and a half ago my neurologist sent me for yet another bunch of blood tests.
He just called to tell me that I am quite low in carnitine. Has anyone had this? Can a deficiency in carnitine cause symptoms of neuropathy? I guess at this point anything is possible. I've just completely lost hope of finding a way to help me with this intense pain 24/7 and am kind of hoping that this carnitine deficiency is the cause of this unbearable pain. Any thoughts? Thanks, Miriam |
