My daughter has been bugging me to check out hyperbaric treatment. So I googled it. Only to find out the medical center to which I go has been involved in using it in clincal trials....with LEDs.
Sounds like the jury is out, but, I am wondering if any one with dough to spare, has tried any of these treatments? I have often wondered if O2 would even be enough to mitigate this.

Hyperbaric is used by some patients with RSD... which is another form of neuropathy. If you post over there, some will answer you I think.

I wonder why LEDs and not Low level laser{LLLT}?
So they combine HBOT with LED lights? I guess it might be a time thing - LEDS can be on much longer and need to be on much longer for treatments - where the LLLT is very quick- like 10-20 sec per spot treatment. And LEDS can be in a large array while LLLT is more focused.

From what I could read, it sounded like they used them in tandem, but apparently they can be done alone. LED supposedly helps chronic pain.
I am always extremely skeptical of things, but this is from an academic center. I will see what else I can find on it. From my point of view, I am just thinking that O2 would could be regenerative, and even using it nightly would offer potential for mitigation of symptoms. Anyway....I will keep looking to see what I come up with.

This article is from 2003. I can't find anything real recent, but, this is a preliminary search. There are times I wonder if the drug companies would squelch this kind of research? Maybe it just fizzled....I dunno.
