Hi all, well, now that the warm weather is here, so is the heat, and new sypmtoms!
![]() ![]() Throughout the winter, as I would get too warm, I would get a tingling in the middle of my back, between my shoulder blades. Like I was breaking out with heat rash or something... then it would burn. ![]() Now that I can actually reach that part of my skin through my collar (no more high necked shirts and jackets), today it was burning, so I reached back to scratch it and there is a large patch in the center of my back now, about 6 inches by 6 inches that is numb!! Right where it's been burning off and on all winter! I've had sypmtoms in my face, my upper arms, my legs, but usually it stays in my hands and feet. This is the first time it's stayed focused in an area other than my feet for a considerable amount of time. Enough time to cause the nerve endings to die. Has anyone else experienced symptoms like this? Does it seem to move around like this? I know from being a member for a long time that everyone is different... but usually after a while everyone's symptoms settle into a pattern. This is just a new pattern for me. I've also got a lot of nausea lately too. Hey Deborah, does this sound familiar to you?

I have a fairly new area - my left upper arm (perhaps the musculotaneous nerve). My fingers, hand and thumb on this arm are tingly as well. I have had other 'areas' on my body appear, disappear and then sometimes reappear over a period of time.
My symptoms of PN and AN started about 17 years ago. I developed gastroparesis last summer and then the tingling and numbness in my right arm, face, mouth and head. I was more recently diagosed with SFN by skin test and am currently being evaluated for AN. The pain in my upper arm has bothered me continually for about eight months or so. It is hard to understand why this happens. So random. Hope your discomfort gets better, Mere |

I think neuropathy can go anywhere it wants, then one day, move on to another area, or just add another area! I don't have a numb spot between my shoulders, I always have pain there. Usually starts in the middle and radiates either to the left or right, sometimes both ways. Then it shoots down my arms. It used to go away and reappear. As of late, it doesn't seem to be going away. The muscles bunch up, pressing on the nerves giving me all kinds of trouble! ![]()
