Default One drug GONE!

I have been on a dangerous cocktail for over 2 years. Lyrica...Tramadol......and Oxycodone! There's gentleman on here that has done the Lyrica/Tramadol combo for quite some time. I must confess....it is the best of the bunch (for me). I QUIT the oxy! I went cold turkey and I feel relieved. Such a dangerous narcotic...the addictive nature is so powerful. My only relief, was the small dosage I was on...but even so....I was getting dangerously in trouble with the med. So....Bob...I am on the Lyrica/Tramadol duo...without the big boy!

Glad to hear it, Jack.
now if we could only
get rid of the Tramdol !! ! !
(too much to ask of me now, I'm trying to taper down
my cigarettes -I have a stop smoking counselor my doc sent me to.
Gotta quit- & on my way to the 'patch', soon.)

It wasn't fun. The fact that I am still on Tramadol, that helped with the side-effects. What a relief!

Default Jak I am glad for you finally? I HOPE!

I take the tramadol, tho only one each time for maybe once or twice a week. I've found, that IF you want it to work? You must SAVE it for when you need it. [That and the ultimate side effects aren't too fun either]. I am not miniimizing your achievement at all! Just acknowleging that YOU ARE NOW REAL! [You mite not know what I mean by this 'now' but at a later date? You will.]
Be honest with yourself tho? That you really mite not see any true improvement for at least a month or three. Patience is the key to healing nerves. They die fast? But they would lose a snail's race for sure in that healing department. You know YOU! Give yourself a new awareness as to the fact that HEALING can hurt as much as the nerves dying. It helps alleviate the potential panic when new and stranger pains happen.
My favorite quote? 'Patience is the Art of Hoping.' Think on that, it's got depth and a wealth of wisdom behind it. It's simple, yet complex. - j
