Hi All,

I hope everyone, if you live in the east, is dealing with this heat and humidity it is really bruttle this year.

Anyway, I was recommended to go and see a doctor my the name of A. Lee Dellon, MD out of Maryland. He as access to Hopkins but has his own surgery center. As anyone heard of him or had any experience with him. I hate to make a 6 hour trip if he's not worht it. He makes some big promises without even seeing the patient....

Good luck. Usually in the first visit, you can tell if this doc is for you. Yet sometimes, you decided, well, maybe I should give him/her another chance. Sometimes, the best doctors have no personality at all. I am very grateful for my doctors..Dr. John, and Dr. G both have wonderful personalities, and the ability to listen to what you are saying, along with believing you. It's hard when you can tell a doctor is rolling his eyes on the inside!

The heat has been nasty here. I am on Long Island, on the south shore. It finally rained yesterday, but not enough in our area to make much of a difference..some of my flowers look as dry today as yesterday.I have been here for 6 yrs now and do not remember weather like this year. It's still better than Michigan humidity though, it's much worse there.

Thanks for the response this doctor just seems so quick to get you in his office. He is supposed to be quite famous been on CNN, Oprah, all the big network shows. I went and searched them out on the internet.....

It poured for hours here....We needed it...We have wells up here and when it doesn't rain people really start to panic. Thank god I have a very deep well and have never had a problem since I have been here 11 years..

But, there have been both positive and negative reports, in that it does seem he and his disciples think that compressive release surgery is that answer to almost all neuropathies. I am suspicious of the wide-ranging claims (they generally hint at a money-making "factory" approach) and I tend to think that if one has a more systemic cause of one's neuropathy, specific site surgery is unlikely to produce great improvements, and it does seem from people who've been through the procedures the results are mixed.

Thank you so much for your response. I actually spoke to my surgeon about this doctor and he was very aware of his procedures said he stated his approach is a lttle to risky for him and really didn't say don't go but really gave me a serious look. Basically what you stated. My surgeon is world renowned in is fleld of upper extremety ortho. surgery and is condsidered on of the best. And I have got to know him after all the surgeries and procedures to get the functioning back in my arm and he is the only one who really helped me and it was so systematic so I truly respect and trust him. He just knew exactly what to do.He also does nerve compression release surgery and did one nerve release surgery with me but did not have sucess and will not attempt again without beng able to see a compression or neuroma, which is what I have been told I have by another doctor, on a MRI, CT etc.

I have had my well water tested. In NJ you can't buy a home without having a water certification or as it is more known "water cert". But why did you ask?

northern NJ is noted for radon in the ground.
just wondering, such things as high arsenic levels have been found in well water which would cause PN symptoms as well as other toxic substances.

Thanks for the response. Acutally I had to have are water tested 2 years ago again when I had a hot tub installed and it was fine. Radon yes is in North NJ but radon is a natural element and is more known in rural areas all over the wordl. All homes have to be tested also for radon and if found a special radon fan is installed which we have.....I truly appreicate and will check out all the information all where kind enough to post.
