Default New- Small Fiber/Bladder-IVIG

Hi. My husband has been battling something for 5 years, Last Aug he had 2 leave his job of 23 years because he was only having 2-3 good days and we are fighting disability. He had spinal stimulator in Dec. and had Mild Respiratory Failure in March. In April w where tired of no answers and went to Cleveland Clinic, Diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis Generalized, Autonomic Small Fiber, Peripheral Neuropathy, Spinal Stenosis and Spondylosis both lumbar/cervical, Hypertension, celiac disease, H-pylori, Fibro., Testerone, vit. D and amino deficient
We start the IVIG Monday. But will that help his MG as well as Bladder spells. At times he is not able to produce urine and he has to become in a relax state for long periods. His urine can small of strong sulfur, it also seems this is when his pain goes up. He has glove effect of legs and arms. His ringing of ears is severe. But can the bladder thing and occassionally discoloration of urine be dangerous?

Anyone do IVIG, his local infusion doc is not familiar with conditions and normal does IVIG for his chemo patients only. Script says 400 mg, for 5days for 6 months. However doc wants to try to admin 2nd month in one day

Wow... that is a lot to handle medically.

I think specifically the odor in the urine, might be due to bacteria.

Ammonia smell indicates bacteria higher up. The sluggish bladder will not empty completely, and this sets up conditions for that bacterial issue.

Have you asked the doctor about that?

I experienced bladder hesitancy and my doc Rx'd me
Terazosin and it gradually cleared up -
Dunno what caused it - meds? infection? !?!?
but sometimes I still have spells for 1/2 day or so.

I am on IVIG and it keeps my head above water. It also reigns in any infections. I have not had any bug in years. I just hope I can stay on it.
