Default This Thread as Promised

Having no other recourse, am on a trial of supplements for small fiber sensory. The breakdown:

B12 as METHYLCOBALAMIN lozenges, 1000 mcg once a day = 1 mg
Found them at the supermarket's pharmacy section

B1 (thiamine) as BENFOTIAMINE, 80 mg one 2x a week, later on one 3x a week
Had to order these on-line - Doctor's Best brand

Multi-vitamin mineral complex, once a day

R-alpha lipoic acid (not the "S" formula) 100 mg once a week
Found these at an organic/specialty market in town

Too cautiouis to do the ultra high doses of these, although I read an abstract by Japanese researchers who said that in "very high" doses, B12 as methylcobalamin can be effective against peripheral neuropathy, but in rats I think.

Who knows if they'll do any good, but have nothing to lose at this point.

Cheers,

Sheltiemom
