Am trying to hold down the stress level as it's not good for neuropathy, but got word this morning that one of the two little Shelties we sponsor (she's only 2) has internal bleeding and they don't yet know why.

Posted about this on the Pets forum, but felt that asking for good thoughts and wishes for her here as well wouldn't hurt.

Oh my. Hugs and prayers. Sick kids and sick animals just tear me up....can't even think about it.

I had two big collies and they were our 'lifetime dogs'....my kids were raised with them. When they got old and had to be put down, I cried my guts out for months....it was awful.

Here is to hoping it is all OK.

I don't know about animals, but assume the vitamins work kinda the same. But Vitamin K is supposed to stop bleeding and encourage clotting. You might want to inquire.

So sorry to hear what you and your shelties are going through, thinking of you and hope everything turns out ok.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the sheltie. Animals have no voice of their own to tell you where it hurts or how they feel. So I have a deep empathy with you right now. I have six (6) corgis, all here with me so I understand the worry when you simply don't know what's wrong. I wish nothing but good things for you and your sheltie. Good wishes and prayers are heading your way.

First of all, want to say a huge thanks to all who've replied to this post. We really appreciate it.

Meagan has been on some meds this weekend (don't know what), and is ACTING normally although she's also been unable to retain bland food. Would think it's a possibility that if no pathology jumps up and says, "I'm causing this," then it's possible she'd need an ultrasound.

We are just sponsors, and she lives in a forever foster home because of her neurological problems where she receives excellent care.

We were supposed to visit both of "our" Shelties this coming weekend, and hope that she'll be well enough by then.

I am a major animal lover........

I have had nothing but sick animals my whole life.......

I always said, I would take anything they had, if I could take it away from them. They are so innocent and helpless.

Don't jump to the worst conclusion, it may be a stomach type ulcer that is bleeding, they can get everything we can get.

They may be able to help the little one with med's.

Is she on Aspirin by chance?

My dog bled from aspirin, years ago, the Vet assurred me it was alright to give to her daily as long as it was buffered, he was very wrong....

You and the little one will be in my thoughts/prayers........
