Smile Update on Meagan

Hi,

Relieved to report that the cause of Meagan's internal bleeding/stomach upset has been identified. She has inflammation of the small intestine found on imaging studies, is being treated with meds and put on a prescription food.

She continues to act playful and otherwise normally. Hopefully, this condition will heal and she'll be back to her old self soon. We go down to Columbus to visit her this weekend, as well as the other Sheltie we sponsor. So excited!

Thank goodness! I had a cat with a similar problem once. I believe they used Flagyl.

Is Meagan gluten intolerant? I looked this up on Google and Shelties can be!

There are gluten free dog foods. Is that what she was given?
