Brian, wishing you a successful operation and a very speedy recovery. I do hope you can get someone in your family to let us know how you are.

My mother-in-law broke her hip 6 years ago and at the time she had a choice to just have pins and whatever to hold it together or have it replaced. She chose the pins and now is in pain and walks with a limp and very bent over but refuses to do anything, and I mean anything even up to seeing a doctor, about it. She is 87 and says she is not putting any more money into her body!
