One more thing. I went to immunologist and he tested all the IG
And ige iga and igm are elevated. Now ige is consistent with my allergies. But I see on line iga can be with celiac. When I ask my Neuro he didn't really know what to make of this. I asked him if chronic allergies of life long can in turn effect my neves and maybe an immune system thing causing this an he just says "I dint know... Who knows" He is a big Neuromucilar with baylor!! I am getting in touch with a dr. Sheikh in Houston. I hear he is really big. Even NIH has consulted him on cases. I am hoping to see him soon! |

--call for further testing, particularly an immunofixation electrophoresis to test for M-proteins, AKA monoclonal antibodies, which can be a number produced in a number of blood conditions and which can cross-react with nerve epitopes to produce neuropathic symptoms:

I did just recent have that test done with random for urine.
All was normal except igg was elevated to which doc has no answers! He just says it's fine! I don't know what they need to check after that. Plus unasked my Neuro and gp what to do with elevated ige, iga and igm and they have no clue of the significance if it. So these are the educated docs I am dealing with!! The immunologist said ige is with chronic allergies. But when I look up iga it says celiac! So I don't know. I am in so much pain. The twitching started up in my back and now back is cramping and omg my face is gonna break from this pain!! |

--you are saying that you had the immunofixation electrophoresis, and it came back negative for monoclonal antibodies (and light and heavy protein chains), but your overall immunoglobulins are elevated? That implies polycolonal antibody manufacture, which can mean a lot of things.
Yes, an IgA elevation may imply celiac, or some other gut situation, but not necessarily, as these are also secreted by mucosal membranes. And since elevated IgG implies a response to external pathogens over a long period of time (these are not as fast acting/fast produced as IgM class antibodies), assuming that these are not being produced erroneously (such as by rogue plasma cells) but accurately, there should be a search going on for low level infections, both bacterial and viral . . .have you had any infectious testing, such as a polymerase chain reaction, done? |

Yes i had that test done by my neuro and the only this off is elevated igg.
He also did random urine with it. My immunologist did a hiss panel that showed elevated iga, very high ige and elevated igg. Never had that infectious testig. Which specialty showed I go to that can evaluate these new blood test as Neuro, gp, and allergist don't know what the elevation signifies! Btw.. Great seeing you in YouTube :-) |

So far in all my years of testing these ige, iga, igg are elevate Ali g with chronic elevated Sed rate and d vitamin deficient.
Glen can you expplain to me what I showed look for now. You think there is some underlying infection or virus. When I look my elevated IG it ALso points to cancers but all my other blood work is normal. He immunologist did an extensive blood test for Lyme and DNA for Lyme. Which is negative and he did Ana choice. |

Glenn I see that immunologist did Lyme test but with it also lyme disease DNA, ql
Real time pcr, not detected Is that chain test you are talking about. Would test cover all or each virus has it's own. Thanks |

Sorry for million questions.
Does elevated IG mean chronic or acute problems? Thanks |

--is the polymerase chain reaction test, to see if various infectious agents are in your sera--this can be done for any number of viral or bacterial pathogens (often depends on how many the doctor ordered; I once had one done for almost everything in the human herpes virus class, cytomegalovirus, parvovirus, and a whole batch of bacterial agents in one blood draw--all negative).
It should say on the test results what agents were tested for--each usually gets a seperate results entry. That elevated IgG tends to imply a longer-term response than high levels of the other antibody classes--and in the absence of other cancer markers, particularly if there's a negative immunofixation electrophoresis result, one would tend to think infectious agent. |
