In my case, it does seem to be more prevalent today than it was say several years ago. Any info would be appreciated.

not sure if your question was for me? No, I've not done any types of testing for this. It's kind of on the bottom of my "fix-it" list. LOL

I worked with kids for 23 years, drove a school bus for 17 of them. Those babies were loud! Add up to 65 kids &traffic, well, now I hear static.

But the fan does help drown it.
