Let's all join Wings a the local bar and have a few pints.

We'll all be friends and get to know each other. Sounds good for me.

Oh Phooey!!!!

Frown Oh David....

What a disappointment!!! I just knew you had researched out the fact that I could have scotch and be cured. Was looking forward to a Johnny Walker Red. No way I'll drink anything with my ulcer and PN. Maybe someone can research out this idea and find us a Scotch or Iced Vodka cure.

Sorry, Billye
Too much of a 'good thing' helped me get the PN
(or so says my neuro), but I still enjoy a brandy with coffee after a good dinner, or a nice 12 y.o. Irish Whiskey
(or scotch can be substitiuted) does wonders for my perspective after a trying (and tiring) day (but not every day).
More than 1 or 2 tho, and my feet start to tell me bad things.

Well David, I'll join you for a pint or two! At least on Fridays! However, you're in San Diego aren't you? I'm in San Jose, it's an 8 hour drive. We can meet in Bakersfield, that's half way! Or, just meet here and enjoy a good cocktail at the end of a long week! I'm not much of a drinker, but I do love a good cocktail hour with friends after work on a Friday!

Yep, I agree with you David MODERATION !!!!!! is the key,as long as your breaks do stop at 1 or 2 no more, i can't see anything wrong with a little reward at the end of a hard working day, although its so easy to keep throwing them down when amongst good company, i read some were that a couple glasses of beer a day is very good for you, unfortaunatly when i was drinking, 1 or 2 was only just a starting point with usually many more to go each day.
I don't drink alcohol at all these days, people with Pre or fully blown Diabetes shouldn't go anywere near the stuff because of all the sugar content that's in beer and of course it goes without saying its a complete NO NO for anyone with alcoholic Neuropathy.
Anyway bottoms up & enjoy

Default So true..

Yes David,
Alcohol is one of the contributors to PN. People who drink can develop this disease and it isn't really necessarily because you drink excessively. A person with pre-diabetes actually has to drink very little to tip them over the line into creating PN.

I limit myself to my one glass of champagne on New Year's Eve.
