I have read many threads of others and now i don't feel along i have been suffering from hip pain that travel down to my knee. this pain throbbes in the pelvis area and also in my lower back. i have been in the Emergency Room 15 different times and have seen 5 specialist consisting of Pelvis, Neurologist, Pain, Sport and physical therapy and yet my pain has gotten worse over the years. I have had three CRPS blocks and only the first one has worked and lasted for 4 months. I have had every test you can think of and they all return back negative which is great but fustrating because you want to know what is causing this pain. I have lost my job i cannot even look for another job beause my symtoms are worse than before i cannot walk long distance cannot sit, run or drive anything dealing with that hip i will end up in so much pain i have to go to the ER. The ER docotors have no clue what else to do for me i have been on all types of medication that it no longer the answer i am tired and just want my life back can someone give me a clue or some direction to go. I am too young to be going through this problem and especially since no one has no clue to why i am suffering like this and no Dr. can figure it out either. I need Dr. House

Have you done ice packs? How about Lidoderm patches?
I fell a few years ago and pulled some tendons in my left hip. I couldn't move for a month! When we got home my doctor gave me physical therapy orders, and they did inferential current electrostim and ultrasound 3 times a week. Within one week my pain levels had dropped immensely. I went for 3 months, and lowered down to once a week, near the end. Combined with the stretches they had me do and balance exercises, I did quite well. I did not heal up 100% and that side the tendons seem shorter than they were and I cannot reach my foot very well..but it is better this year than last, but only by a small bit. It still gets stiff now and then, but compared to the agony initially it is much better. The IFc and ultrasound were wonderful. I would try something like this, and see if that helps. I used Lidoderms (RX only) on my lower back and also ice packs and that helped too at home.

You really need another medical opinion.
Did you put the Lidoderms on the lower end of the small of your back? If you have tendon issues, arthritis in the joint, some misalignment, etc...this needs to be evaluated. Doctors can inject steroids into the hip if this is inflammatory after evaluation. If I were you I'd be getting another opinion.

I am sorry and can relate a lot. You stated you have seen a pain doctor but have you thought of going to another one? I have had to see a couple and though very confusing each one suggested a different type of treatment or med. I am very cautious but sometimes it is about finding the right treatment for relief. If you can find one that works with neuropathy etc a lot that can help. Often ER doctors are just not familiar with chronic conditions like this. Hope you feel better
