Over in the B12 thread, mrsD mentioned that she had good results with Kefir, a probiotic yoghurt drink.
I have dairy issues, although sometimes I can cheat a little. Right now, I'm experimenting with Chobani Greek-style yoghurt. Has anyone with dairy issues tried Kefir? Thanks! |

My kefir is 99% lactose free.
There are two types of dairy problems. 1)Allergy to the casein proteins in dairy, and 2) lactose intolerance. If you go to Lifeway's website, they have lots of info on their Kefir products. I feel like a new person on it.... really! I wish I had known years ago! I eat yogurt all the time...the Lifeway kefir has 12 cultures in it and more organisms that are alive and active. It is different and superior to yogurt. Chobani has 5 cultures (typical of yogurts) and Kefir has 12.
