Default New here. Advice welcome.

I am new here. I have had type 2 diabetes for around 12 years. I am now on U-500 insulin 25 units twice a day with average glucose readings of 130-150. Still trying to fine tune and get better numbers.

I have recently started experiencing neuropathy in my hands and feet. My doctor prescribed Metanx for me but after seeing the cost I decided to do research. I found this site. I read about recommendations for vitamins and ordered some (a lot).
Here is a list of what I got.

Did I cover all my bases?

Any comments or recommendations?

Jarrow Formulas, Methyl b12, 5000mcg
Now Foods, P-5-P, Coenzyme B6, 50mg
Solgar, Folate Metafolin Folic Acid, 800mcg
Jarrow Formulas, Co-Q10 200, 200mg
Jarrow Formulas, Neuro Optiomizer
Doctors Best, Best Benfotiamine 150, 150mg
Doctors Best, Best Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid, 100mg
Healthy Origins, Vitamin D3, 5000iu
MegaFood, Daily Foods, Antioxidant

Thanks!

Looks like a good start to me.

A concern is for insulin users to test blood sugar often when using the Lipoic acid...it may lower blood sugar for you, and you may need to adjust your insulin.

It does not do this for everyone however and is not really predictable. So do be careful there.

Tommy,

Wow. Looks pretty good. The only suggestion I have (cuz I'm doing it and have found it's worthwhile) is this:
http://www.diabeteslibrary.org/View....ntothenic_acid

Decide for yourself; Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) is quite inexpensive. I'm taking 500 mg. 2/day (one with my RLA).
