Default Surgery for Neuopathy?

I was wondering if any body has had decompression surgery to help with peripheral neuropathy. I saw an advertisment in the newspaper by a podiatrist who claims this type of surgery is 90% effective. I have small fiber neuropathy and am looking for anything that truly helps. Is anybody familiar with this procedure, it is the same thing as carpel tunnel surgery and also can be done on feet as well. thanks for your replies
