I've had seldom occasions when it's lasted beyond that - up to a few hours, but there's usually some explanation when that happens. I asked my optometrist about it, and after examining my eyes, he seemed to think it was middle age-related (as long as it didn't stick around). Doc

Thanks Everyone, thanks so the information. Dr. Smith, I notice it as soon as I open my eyes. I don't stay in bed very long. I would say 5 minutes. Today I stayed possibly ten to see if it went away and it didn't. I guess at 53 it is time to admit to being middle aged so I could fit in your doctors category. I'm not really worried about it yet. I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced it. I tried to look it up this morning and found alot on MS, so I stopped looking. I was just seen at the eye doctors about a month ago. I think they would have seen something. Thanks again!
