Wisest Elder Ever

I am doing my Biannual CE for my license renewal and found this lesson in the list available.
Much to my surprise... snake venom homeopathic, in two products show promise! Nyloxin and Cobroxin. Here is the Amazon Cobroxin page with reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Cobroxin-Gel-2.../dp/B002VFYHGA Normally I'd be skeptical, but I am leaning towards trying one of these lately, since my spring shingles pain is off the charts! The downside of these, is that time is necessary to see relief. Perhaps several days to a week...of 4 times application. But they don't seem very expensive, and since I just bought some Arnicare for my elbow last week. The Arnicare is not working well and cost about the same. You can Google these products and read for yourself. But I have to say it is rare to find a product in my professional literature for CE credit that was fringey or strange!

Some warnings:
Quote:
These venoms are the source of some ACE inhibitor drugs...like captopril and enalapril (and lisinopril I would think as well). Hence the blood pressure warnings. In homeopathic dilution, there is very little venom left. 1X dilution is 1:10, so 4X is 4zeros dilution (1:10,000) Finding a CE lesson for professionals, usually indicates that a drug product is going to be advertised, or is in use already. So I am including it here just for informational purposes. Since I already use lisinopril, I probably will not try it yet. Also the fact that it may lower B12 levels, is concerning. These two products are homeopathic OTC and have very little active venom in them. Only time will tell if they work. The Amazon entry has many positive reviews however states that Cobroxin has been discontinued. http://www.amazon.com/Cobroxin-Gel-2.../dp/B002VFYHGA But Walgreens still shows available and so does Drugstore.com Therefore its status is confused and cloudy.

Interesting info on the cobra venom. I've used homeopathy with mixed results and find it pretty amazing when it works. John really responds well to it. The trick is find the right remedy for the person. It will be interesting in seeing how you do with it.
Things that can get in the way or that antidote the remedy are things like coffee, strong odors like peppermint or eucalyptus, medicines, etc. I think the modern world we live in today, creates more challenges for homeopathy. Homeopathy is very complex system. Requires one to be very observant and insightful. |

It appears that Nyloxin is about 4 times more potent than Cobroxin, if one is to believe the advertising.
It is also more expensive. I would stress you should check with your doctor, before trying this however. Even though it is minute in concentration, there could always be a side effect of some sort. Do some more research as well.
