Vitamin C is essential to oral health. Without it the gums bleed and the mucosa does not restore as fast.
Much of scurvy (lack of Vit C), is loss of teeth! Sore white areas of the mouth might be thrush (Candida). Should have a doctor look at that. Thrush in the mouth is a signal that most likely it is in the entire GI tract as well. It can come from poor immune function, or after the use of antibiotics. People with poor sugar control also get it.
