so i went to my doctors yesterday and i feel a little better...she wasnt impressed on how i was treated by the other doctor and we came up with a game plan. I was always told i have peripheral neuropthy but now it is listed as Polyneuropathy-progressive Idiopathic. Im not sure what that second part means.(if anyone has any helpful info about this please let me know)
She is pretty sure theres more than that going on so i have over 20 tests to do at the hospital tomorrow. so its off my feet and stuck at home untill next tuesday to try to get this flair up under controll. My meds are upped and i got a perscription for Lidocain patches for my feet that seem to be helping so far. |

--from the Greek "poly", meaning many, just means "many nerves", and "idiopathic", from the Latin "idio", just means your pathology is, for now, confined to self--there is no known cause of it. Your diagnosis hasn't really advanced anywhere with this, although doctors do need SOMETHING to put down on insurance forms.
Hopefully, the further testing may reveal something that can point to a cause--be sure you get and retain copies of the test results! |
