Default Epidural/PN following childbirth

When I was in labor with my youngest, the anesthesiologist was having a hard time placing the epidural. Even when I told him to stop, and that he was hurting me worse than the labor pains, he kept on trying to put it in. He kept poking and prodding (while I was in tears) for nearly 45 minutes!

I've had back problems ever since then (summer of 2010) and it was mostly lightning spasms and similar symptoms. Slowly, the pain spread to my legs, and well, you all know how PN travels.

Every time I asked a doctor if the epidural could be responsible, they adamantly deny the possibility . When I look the information up, I get mixed reviews (depending on who is funding the site lol) with some sources stating major complications, and others citing minimal risks. I suppose it's one more thing to consider.
