Pain that gets worse with standing and walking, is very different, IMO.
A carefully made orthotic from a podiatrist here is over $300.00.
Probably more now. I bought a pair for my son who had some pronation issues, and they fixed it right up. He was walking so much at college he was becoming incapacitated by the pain.

Mine is the opposite, when I get off my feet, I feel a relief, but not quite. I have to stretch it to relieve me from the "tight-band" sensation. The electric zaps are like randomly shooting all over my ankles and up to my legs. Its hard to describe....
Perhaps, mine is not really caused by the hypothyroidism.
Strangely though, my neurological symptoms started immediately all over my body - arms, feet, legs, thighs, back and sometimes face. It was never the typical "glove-like" progression.
