I have cupping of optic nerves that caused my ophthalmologist to put me in the category of "glaucoma suspect." My intra-ocular pressures have always tested as normal. The timing of this situation with the onset of polyneuropathy makes me strongly suspect that damage was done to my peripheral nerves and optic nerves by the same causal factor(s).
