Confused I need answers

I suffered a seizure a month ago and fell on my back. I do have disc problems in L2 thru L5 from aging degeneration. When I woke up both my legs were totally numb. When I sat up the feeling came back in my thighs but my calves and feet were partially numb. I went to the ER and they told me it was Sciatica. I've had this before and there is no way this is what I have. I have feeling in my calves and feet but just partially and the front of my calves have feeling. I can move toes on both feet but just alittle. I now have foot drop with both feet. I can walk with the use of a walker but it's scary because I can't move my feet. I don't have diabetes's and I am very thin. So far I've had one EMG but no word yet on the results. My doctor is about as talkative as a box of rocks. I just want to know if nerves grow back and will I ever walk again? I am so scared as I am only 53 and have two teenage kids who need me walking......HELP>>>>>
