My symptoms at the moment are

Very painful legs .They ache so much all the time .I get very bad shooting pains in them all the time , at night they burn so much .Cant seem to walk far without feeling like ive ran a marathon. Its affecting everything i do They tingle all day as well .

Im also tired all the time everything exhausts me .

So really just wondered what else the neuro can do ?
Or any ideas based on the symptoms what it could be ?

This all started in april and is just getting worse.Im currently on 300mg of pregabalin (i cant take anymore as ive tried and i get to dizzy )Im seeing my neurologist tmw .Not sure what else he will do .

I would appreciate any advice .

Welcome to NeuroTalk:

The very first thing you need to do is call up your doctor and get the results of your B12 levels (if you had them done that is). Low B12 slowly damages nerves. If you wait too long to discover this it might become permanent.

If not ask for a B12 test and also a Vit D test. Bring your results here, and don't accept "normal", from the doctor. This is because B12 levels are still outdated by labs...and very low levels can be called normal. It has been a decade and still doctors are behind on this. Same with Vit D... get the level itself. Doctors are still dosing with old D2 (ergocalciferol) instead of the active D3.

Also can you tell us more about your history and self?
What were you doing when this started? Were you ill, did you have antibiotics? Which ones? Did you get a vaccine? Did you have a viral illness, stomach flu?

Can you tell us what tests you've had? Thyroid for example?
ANA, Ig immune globulins?
What is your diet like? Hobbies, exposure to chemicals of any kind?

You have to be a detective of sorts, in order to pinpoint your trigger. This can help in deciding if supplements may help you or not.

Your neurologist may order nerve conduction studies & EMG to rule out large fiber neuropathy. However, these tests do NOT detect small fiber neuropathy. You will need a skin biopsy to determine if this is the problem. Then of course, (if one of these is positive for PN), you will have to try and figure out the cause...and that can be difficult.

Did they check you for diabetes? If not, then it would be a good idea to do so.
