A neurologist may also be able to point you in the direction of who else you should see. I've got several doctors (specialists) on my "team". It took some time to build the team, and they're not always right or in agreement (they're human, and a "diagnosis" is an educated guess), but they're doctors I trust and can communicate with, and IME that goes a long way in getting to the answers.
