Hi Marty
I hope you are feeling better these days. I have read some of your posts dated back to 2011. I suffer from small fiber "idiopathic" neuropathy and have some of the same symptoms you talk about. I take Lyrica 100mgs, 50mg 2 x day, Its a low dose , I cant go higher because of swelling & some minor hallucinations while waking up from sleeping . I also have a script for amitriptyline (elavil). I was told to take 10 mgs at night (it supposed to help with sleep too). I read alot about side effects so im nervous about taking it. The article you posted is very intersting. Sounds like Elavil (amitryp) did pretty well, except for the last paragraph where it read some pple had to stop taking the drug due to "anticholinergic side effects". Do you know what this means? Do you still take ami, Lyrica and tramadol? I also have a script for tramadol, I read how you and a few others includin MrsD (did) well on it (as needed for pain & burning). I would start with half of 50mgs like MrsD does. What type of neuropathy do you have, and how are your symptoms managed? thanks...
