Hi, I'm 47 and am new to all of this.
I have numbness, and tingling and some pain in my right foot, and over the last couple of weeks, right hand. About 7 years ago I noticed my right foot was very painful when putting on trousers - they gave me anti-inflammotories and it was all ok. This recocured about 18 months ago, though the sensitivity had been replaced by a more general numbness in the base of the foot in particular towwards the top. A couple of weeks ago I started getting numbness in my right hand, mainly my middle finger tip, but also the 2nd and 4th fingers. If I lean on my palm I get a shooting pain up my middle finger. This last day or two I have pain when my right hand is in hot water. I have had a lower back MRI, blood tests and tests for carpel tunnel (EMG) but the neurologist in London can't find anything. He is starting to say that I may have to live with it, but I'm telling him that it's staill getting worse. He's now suggested a brain, neck and upper back MRI, but he's saying that he's pulling at straws! I feel really lost in what to do. ![]() |
