This says may have anti-depressant activity:

However, the side effects are rather extreme for an antidepressant.
To get some dopamine anti-depressant actions, Wellbutrin would be more appropriate perhaps?

Thanks mrsD. It sounds like Lidoderm is quite a bit different. You learn something new every day.
