When talking with my neuro they asked a lot of questions about my stress levels. Could stress or anxiety cause PN symptoms?

Yes, they can cause paresthesias... which are like PN.
Anxiety especially. If you already have some damaged nerves, the stress will sometimes makes the pain worse.

Some "symptoms" are just that. They come and go...
PN tends to stay, remain, and not vacillate so much. Anxiety releases inflammatory chemicals into the body to prepare for "fight or flight". These may cause paresthesias...in the nerves. Anxious people also do not breathe correctly and this leads to an imbalance in the acid/base control of the blood. We had a member here in the past who found alot of relief from yoga. In yoga training, breathing is a large part of the exercises. Eating inflammatory foods, too many Omega-6 fatty acids and neglecting Omega-3's, leads to a constant inflammatory response in the body. If you look up "Inflammation diet" on Google you will find suggestions to reduce inflammation. This website gives an inflammatory index for many common food choices: http://nutritiondata.self.com/ Here is an entry for broccoli... http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/...roducts/2361/2 "mildly anti-inflammatory" some other interesting data on it there too. ![]() fried chicken: mildly inflammatory and very high in Omega-6's.
