Shocked What are the best foods to eat for neuropathy

I have diabetic peripheral neuropathy and I am wanting to know what are the best foods and worst foods for neuropathy. Its rather obvious sugar and refined/processed foods tend to make the pain worse, even saturated fat also makes the pain worse. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Some folks talk about not eating nightshade foods, but for me, I just do low carb, which is less than 30 net carbs a day.

The book "Minding my Mitochondria" is a great book about how to help the mitochondria and nerves with food.

I also limit carbs. We eat a lot of very healthful foods, greens, onions, supplements.

"Minding my Mitochondria" was written by Dr. Terry Wahls

In this TEDTalks video, Dr. Wahls describes how she learned to properly fuel her body. Using the lessons she learned at the subcellular level, she used diet to cure her MS and get out of her wheelchair.

Yes, Dr. Wahls wrote it. I have looked at her videos.

Good book.

Lightbulb

The nightshades:
potatoes
tomatoes
peppers (all forms)
eggplant
paprika

Contain solanine which is an alkaloid being looked at today, as being toxic to some people, and cumulative (not being excreted).

Avoid these foods for 2 weeks to a month and then introduce carefully. If you feel better not eating them, then avoid them.

The pepper family (green, red and hot varieties) are really hard on me. Potatoes, next. I can tolerate a little tomato but not often. (once a week or so). Paprika is hidden in many processed foods.. like hot dogs, sausages, mexican etc.

You can survive with only 30 net carbs PER DAY? thats impressive. I follow the "not more than 40 net carbs PER MEAL".

Is the "1 hour post prandial" counting from the first or last bite?
