Yes, I did use a lot, ha. The bottle has no good directions. I will use just a dab next time!

I remember the first time I soaked my feet in warm water with Epsom salt, I got severe burning in the area where it had contact with the water. But, I tried and tried again until maybe on my 2nd week, the burning stopped and until now I don't experience any burning anymore.
I also use Epsom lotion in my feet, hands and neck every night after soaking with the Epsom salt and no burning as well. I use generous amount of Epsom lotion but just the same i experience no burning. |

MrsD I tried to stop taking my diuretic last week, since my bp was good, 98/78 around there, give or take. I was off it for a week and it slowly kept climbing, 130/90...
Is it possible to ever get off that med??? I can take it every other day and do well. |

If every other day works, then I'd try that, and keep a log.
I was having terrible BP control, while on that lisinopril. And I was using the CVS epsom lotion also nightly. Once I stopped that lisinopril which was over stressing my system big time with the lupus and bradykinin excess, my pressure dropped! With the tiny beta blocker dose, + the magnesium lotion --still it was the CVS until just recently, my pressure was normal in the doctor's office for the first time in YEARS! You might need longer on the lotion to see a mega effect. Just keep taking it and recording it. Your doctor will want to see that log... like mine did. It is possible eventually you may be able to stop that med. No guarantees though! ![]()

The scary thing is that I LITERALLY gained 10 pounds in 5 days. I know it was all water but is that normal???? It made me wonder if this pill has ruined my bodies ability to control water retention.
Yes, I am doing every other day and it does great, which is why I tried another day then another, then it was a week. Wasn't till about day 6 that it started climbing which made me think all that water retention was a problem??? Then made me feel like I will never get off it. ![]() But thanks for the encouragement, I am loving the mag lotion for sure! But I don't use it everyday, should I?? I only use it during bad flares, thinking I didn't wanna abuse it. |

I'd use it every day for a while. It is not a drug...it is providing an essential mineral to your body which uses it in about 300 various biochemical reactions!
You may have been dehydrated by the drug...over time. If your blood was affected, then your circulation could have been impaired as well (thickened).
