Default Thyroid

Hey for those of you on thyroid meds and dealing with PN caused from hypothyroid, this is a great video that helps understand lab results and also about natural desicated meds instead of synthetic ones.

I've heard Suzy Cohen before when she was the guest on the Saturday morning health show I usually listen to on the radio, "Healthy by Nature." She explains things very well.

Stacey,

My thyroid has been taken out and I am on Synthroid and Cytomel. For a long time, my thyroid function could not be stabilized. It took several months before trial and error of proper dosage and combination before it stabilzes.

It is difficult to determine if the PN is caused by the thyroid because in some cases (at least in my case), even the thyroid function has been normalized the PN still remains the same.

Was it you who talked about proper combination of Synthroid and cytomel? Or did you post a link about the topic? I remember it discussed about -- if Cytomel is increased/decreased, current dosage of Synthroid should remain as is, or was it otherwise?

My recent TSH was normal high and my endoc's PA called that i can increase my Synthroid from .75 to .100 and retain the cytomel dosage. I could not get through my doctor to clarify my concern. I was hoping you remember or you are aware of what I am referring to.....

Thank you.

Mary

Hi, I am not sure I remember but I would suggest visiting

http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com...l-thyroid-101/

This page is the best thyroid page on the net and they also have a forum you can visit and ask questions. The page is huge, many tabs to look up different things. They specifically adress your questions but I can't remember enough to answer you.

They also have a list of doctors world wide to help find one willing to use NDT along with cytomel.

They have been so nice and helpful to me, I read their forum daily.
