Default Anyone else with autoimmune stuff experience this?

Hello, again,
I feel I am being quite needy and asking more than contributing, and I promise that that will change in the future. For now...
So, I've had a nasty norovirus and it's not quite over yet, pretty sure it'll be gone by Friday. My lymph nodes have been hot and swollen (obviously) throughout the whole thing, but today took the cake. I have about twice the amount of neck I had yesterday and it's super irritating to breathe-nothing crazy, just more difficult. My chest feels like it's on freaking fire-uch! Anybody know what I'm talking about? I'm icing my lymph nodes for ten minutes an hour just for a little relief and taking Advil for the norovirus fever. Sound familiar, you all?

Question

Have you seen a doctor? Had blood work?

Yes a doctor is needed but in the mean time, swollen lymph nodes are a sign of toxin overload on the lymphatic system, which means more toxins are overwhelming the system than it can handle.

A way to help the lymph system drain is to dry skin massage the areas, also the exercise "rebounding" is so very helpful, which is a mini trampoline and even slight bouncing for 10 min will help force the lymph system to drain. I also used peppermint oil on my swollen glands on my neck a couple weeks ago. I also used my magnesium lotion. I have a chi machine that helped. After doing all the above for a couple days my swollen glands returned to normal.

You can google all the above.

Of course mine was due to a detox I was doing so I knew the cause. Yours sounds like a dr is needed.

good luck

I have a gland on the left side of the neck that my doctor is watching.

It goes down within a couple of hours after I rub the mag lotion on it! Also my salivary gland on that side swells too. Goes down with the mag lotion too. (Morton's Epsom lotion--- topical magnesium --available at WalMart now...it is new).

Norovirus is mostly a GI virus.

So many glands swollen? Sounds more like Mono could be there too? There is a specific blood test called the MonoSpot, that can diagnose this. This virus used to be called "glandular fever", because of the numerous swollen glands. It can take months to heal, and medications don't really work on it.

I also think this could be mono. Any difficult swallowing? Have you looked inside your throat? Any white spots? Any fever? Strep throat can cause vomiting. Swollen nodes are very common in mono.

You need to contact your doctor as soon as possible. If it turns out to be strep they will more than likely give you and antibiotics. Mrs. D is right, of course, for mono there are no medications. It is a virus.
