Hello I'm new. Recently diagnosed with hypoglycemia, b12 deficiency and
Sensory neuropathy. My PN symptoms are getting worse by the day it seems. I've been doing good on my Diet and gotten 2 B12 shots in the Last month. I have a follow up with My GP next week. I haven't been to a specialist yet. Should I be concerned at how quickly this is happening and make my appt closer? I'm still learning and have so many questions. |

Oral Vit.B12 (methycobalamin) is as good as the injectable. you need to take the vitamin on an empty stomach. I started on 2500 mcg daily and when i reached my goal, I just maintain it to 1000mcg daily. There has been no studies that show toxicity level for vitamin b12 so, its relatively safe. I am sure your doctor told you that hypoglycemia is not treated. Your best bet is a good balanced diet--- small but frequent meals. Good luck. |
