I found Life Extension Benfotiamine on sale, I usually use Dr's Best. I am wondering if anyone has every used this company/product, good, or bad???
Also, I have never bought or used biofreeze. Everytime I think about ordering it, I read reviews and they talk about it being cold then turning hot. Is this true??? I know MrsD said she uses it but I am definately not wanting to try it if it even remotely gets warm, I want something that is cold only. Anyone???? Thinking about ordering the spray gel. I use only the gel Biofreeze. It never turns hot. I've never used the spray, so I don't know what it does. It may have less menthol in it, for example. It appears that Biofreeze gel has more menthol now than before:
http://www.biofreeze.com/page/en/faqs-consumer.aspx http://www.drugstore.com/biofreeze-c...pump/qxp393013 It also appears that herbs have been added. The spray appears to have higher menthol--10% probably because of the spray delivering less than a gel would. http://www.drugstore.com/biofreeze-p...ilex/qxp154726 I don't know how the herbs would be, as I still have my older formula. ( I don't use or need it as much as I did before). But things like IcyHot do have a heat component somehow as they advertise that. I think the sensation of heat comes when the menthol wears off. You don't really get "cold"...it is the menthol stimulating cold receptors...eventually that wears off and the overfiring heat ones then start up again. LEF is a good company. But they tend to be expensive. Sometimes their labels are misleading in content..that is why I don't recommend them.(specifically the lipoic acid one.)

We use LEF for some of our supplements and have found the quality to be good.

I use Biofreeze gel and/or the roll on. I like it, have used it for years, and it does not get hot. However, I never use it on my feet. That just does not work for me. But on my calves and lower back it is great. I have never tried the spray. After rubbing on the gel you need to wash your hands in cold water. The directions tell you what to do as you only need a little of it.

![]() It might be overkill for something like this, but can be handy/ideal for some topical meds—especially prescriptions. YMMV. Doc

The Life Extensions was still more the dr's Best, even on sale, but they didn't have Dr's Best so I thought I would try something new. Hopefully its all the same. |

ymmv= your mileage may vary. its taken from car commercials for gas mileage. it is the disclaimer at the end of the commercial meaning you may not get the same results.

Thanks Echoes. Not every reply, but many.
What Is 'YMMV'? What Does YMMV Mean? I also use it to indicate that others' opinions may be different than mine, and that's cool. ![]() Doc
