I still get burning if I am in warm temperature or walking a lot, like shopping is still impossible however it is truly improved by 80% in every other aspect. I can tell a difference when I don't take the second pill during the day.

So for me, this supplement has moved to the very top of my list.

The burping fish oil is gone.

That is great. This is something worth trying......

I hope you continue to improve.

I am really impressed with this pill. Do some research, many say it helps with pain. I don't have much pain only burning but it sure is helping with it.

I am trying to find out how safe it is to take long term. There is a lot of info out there but not much on long term use. But I am soooo happy with my improvement I do not want to believe it will stop working or may not be safe long term but u never know.

Also, I meant, I stopped getting the burps from the fish oil, not that I stopped taking it. I love this fish oil.

Hi everyone!

Well, I have had an amazing 2 weeks, my burning is down by 80% and life has been amazing for 2 weeks now. I began to consider that my problems were inflammation. Since thyroid medication got rid of all my symptoms EXCEPT burning I decided maybe inflammation was a problem. 2 weeks ago I added two supplements for inflammation, since I added them both at the same time I can not say for sure which one is the miracle for me or if it is both.

Zyflamend by New Chapter
Carlson finest Fish oil lemon flavor

Honest fact is I noticed a difference within 24 hours of consuming both of these, so much so I was stunned. I am now praying this is a miracle that lasts forever.

Just thought I would share.

Stacy, I'm so excited for you. I am on Amazon right now ordering some Zyflamend by New Chapter. You said you take 2 softgels a day?

Within 3 days, all my pain lessened to barely felt...I am still having about twenty a day or so (they are really delicious and I did a small binge the first day I have to admit).

Even my sore big toes, have stopped. My right toe was squashed by a big boulder years ago (two hairline breaks) and always zings me when I bend it. But it stopped too!

These are Dried Montmorency Cherries (tart). Search Montmorency for that post I just made...these are sold on Amazon, Sam's club, and at Costco...I have the Kirkland brand.

They have some sugar but that doesn't seem to be bothering me much. The pain relief is amazing..I am so surprised, since I tried cherry juice and extract in the past with no effect. I guess the type of cherry used is important.

This article says that tart cherries have the most anti-inflammation compounds of any food:

These are as tart as a Jolly Rancher. They make your saliva flow.
My doctor told me to use one Jolly Rancher twice a day to keep my mouth moist so I don't develop stones in the salivary glands...
which is pretty common in older patients. These cherries do the same job. I just love cherries anyway! This has been a wonderful discovery for me.

mrsD, I love cherries and think I tried the ones from Costco a few years back and disliked them. I really would like to try them again if they are a little sweet like you said. I don't think it wasn't the tartness I didn't like but the consistency. I remember them being quite soft, almost mushy. Am I right? I wish they were more dried like a raisin.

I have BioFreeze and use it on sore muscles. Works like a miracle. You put it on your feet for the burning Stacy?? OMG it helps with the burning feet? I am going to have to try this. Thank you.

The cherries are chewy...not mushy. The thicker ones have a slightly soft center...but I would definitely not call them mushy.

Even with the bit of sugar they are quite tart (sour).
If you are a Costco member, they are $8.00 a bag. This size 20 oz. lasts me about 2 weeks of nibbling. What I like is that there is no sulfur dioxide in them...I can't tolerate that chemical so I have avoided dried fruit because of that.

Biofreeze is very good too. I use it for burning when I have a spell of that. (which is not often anymore).

Stacy2012 12-13-2013 10:55 AM

Biofreeze by itself does not relieve my burning. I have a little portable battery fan, fits in my purse, for emergency times and while embarrassing, as it was on the airplane, I will spray the biofreeze then use the fan and the fan makes it VERY COLD AIR. Alone biofreeze does nothing for me.

Yes I take zyflamend twice a day. Many on the amazon reviews take more but I only take 2 a day. Good luck, I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me. I am praying it continues to improve my symptoms. I have only been on it a couple weeks.

You have the spray on Biofreeze and not the gel type of Biofreeze that you rub in? That is what I am understanding from your post. The gel type that you have to rub on is much more effective than the spray on type or the roll on type. At least that is what I have found. I have been using the gel type for many years now when needed. It works for me but probably not for everyone. I use the roll on now and then but not as good as the gel.

Stacy2012 12-13-2013 11:15 PM

I have both gel and spray.

Neither work for me unless I use a fan with it. Matter of fact I just now put some on and nothing. Only gives cooling action if I put a fan on it. Just my luck. I use the spray more cuz it is easier. I wish it worked for me.

Thanks mrsD. I will pick some up and give them another try. I really need help with inflammation!!

Stacy, thanks for your replies.

mrsD 12-14-2013 06:34 AM

Never under estimate the power of fish oil (krill oil). It is a wonderful anti-inflammatory. Most people in US don't consume enough Omega-3s in their diet.

I'd start that first, as it is maybe all you need. The Zyflamend
is rather pricey for what you get.

I've always used the gel form of Biofreeze. I think that gel is a
transdermal type and carries the menthol and Ilex herb antioxidant into the tissue better. I believe they have reformulated it and now have other antioxidant herbs added as well. I haven't used the new one yet.;)
