Default Question about cranial nerves

Hi, I have been having very distressing occipital headaches with awful burning shoulders and neck for 6 months that travels down back of my arm esp. when I lie down (no tingling or numbness though). I have to sleep on my stomach. I have had 3 MRIs a lumbar puncture and will have another cervical mri this week.

Along with this, I seem to be having nerve misfirings all over my body, especially my head. However, none of them actually rise to the level of being termed a true cranial neuropathy. For example, I have throat and tonsil pain but can still swallow. I have ear pressure and pain and tightness in the area, however, I can still hear. I have teeth and gum aches, but can still open my jaw. I have pain behind the eyes, but no double vision, etc. However, I am convinced these are all related to nerves. I have no sinus cold or other things to cause these. I also am having random muscle jumps all over my body and some buzzing sensations and occasional pulling feeling in my palms and soles and occasional tingling.

Nothing "organized" enough to be called a neuropathy though.

I do have lymes but hate to blame everything on that. Although my spinal fluid tested negative, I am blood positive confirmed CDC. I also have a positive ANA but no confirmed rheumy disease. My neck is also a total mess (spinal cord flattening, severe stenosis, but this is all at c6-c7 levels not sure if its enough to affect the head).

Any ideas? Is it worth getting an EMG? I really have no discernable pattern!!

I can't offer any help but I always feel bad when someone makes a new post and gets no comments. My guess is, nobody here has anything to offer on the subject.

Hope you get the answers you are looking for.

Welcome to NeuroTalk... I've been under the weather with a neck thing too all week, and very dizzy. Sometimes viruses or arthritis can really put a person out of commission!

I want to know more about the Lyme. Are you receiving treatment? For how long and what drugs? The long term drug treatment can affect many metabolic nutrients in the body and cause side effects due to that. I have a reference which lists many, that I consult for people here.
