Default NAC Question?

I know this is a long shot but here it goes. I began taking NAC 3 weeks before the burning in both my feet started. I was having some pain in my left foot a month before taking the NAC which wasn't obvious nerve pain at the time.

I haven't found anything online which would indicate it. As a matter of fact everything about NAC claims to help nerve pain. Regardless I stopped taking it immediately after the onset of burning pain in both feet just to be safe.

Just trying to think of the changes in the weeks/months leading up to my recent symptoms. Could NAC have anything to do with agitating the peripheral nerves??

I think it's more likely coincidence. If anything, there's some evidence to suggest NAC may inhibit the onset of PN.

nac neuropathy

I've been taking the stuff on & off for many years, and if anything, I feel better when I take it.

Have you tried R-Lipoic Acid (RLA)? That stuff stopped my burning pain completely.

I believe nerve damage and neuropathy starts long before we ever begin to FEEL the pain. By the time we feel it, it has already been deteriorating. We probably all had small symptoms we didnt recognize until it progressed. I know I did.

Coincidence IMO.

I'm pretty sure its a coincidence with the NAC. Just trying to scavenge for possible clues. I'm still going to hold off on the NAC for a little while until I get a handle on what's going on with me. I thought there was a possibility that it reacted with some storred toxins in my body and released them into the blood stream or something. (just a crazy theory)

I'm currently taking ALA along with ALC, B12, BRight, Bentfiomine, D3, Fish Oil, and Nortriptilyne. I know it's kind of a shotgun approach, but the PN is hitting fast and hard and I'm trying to get it under control. I may replace the ALA with the RLA in my next supplement order.

As of now its only been about a week with supps and meds. no significant changes. I have good times of day and bad. Still trying to understand whats happening to my body, and what I can do to relieve the symptoms.
