Hi I've come on here to vent my frustrations..basically for the past 7 weeks I've been getting this uncomfortable prickly/electric zaps feelings in my hands and in my feet,I was a bit stressed and anxious due to my wife's fertility treatment in December, but this symptoms came out the blue when I wasn't stressed in early January!!one minute I'm fine have a shower and next all my body is tingling!! I didn't think much of it and thought it will pass but it hasn't I've checked online and they are mentioning nerve damage neuropathy MS!!how can i have nerve damage im not diabetic i dont have any autoimmune disease or anything else wrong with me that i know about im a 30 year old male no previous medical problems blood tests done recently all normal apart from little low vitamin D which im taking tablets for now,my B12 levels are 390 which the doctors say is fine.I have since developed body twitching in the last 2 weeks ive seen a private neurologist who has put this down to anxitey!!!I'm getting these pains in my hands everyday, can someone help,is this a sign of anxitey or in your opinion do i have a medical problem?I have also been trying to make a connection with other symptoms have had for a while..basically since last year I've noticed whenever I take a nap during the day on the sofa sitting postion my hands would go numb within 15-20mins after shaking them the pins n needles would subside, quickly I did find it weird but I just put it down to posture or neck positioning, but now I'm getting this at night aswel laying down!!is anyone who's a similar age to me have these symptoms, because I'm starting to worry for my future now.

OP: I question our doctors SO MUCH. Your B12 TO ME, appears to low. Don't know where your D level is but that could be low too. I much older than you but find so much HELP from taking Grape Seed Extract for going on 23 yrs now...for starters works on CIRCULATION. I can't tell anyone want to do, but Grape Seed Ex does so much for health issues. You mention MS, I lost my sister to it, and wanted her so much to get on Grape Seed Ex for years and she didn't. There is a lot of info on Grape Seed Ex and MS.
Hope you find solutions. BTW:: There are many other B vitamins that help us too and I take a lot of them separately... |

You might look into the body/neck position/ posture factors.
You tube has a great mix of posture videos and how to correct if you might have "forward head & neck" or "rounded & hunched shoulders". Those postures can close down on the areas that the blood & nerves run thru. https://www.neurotalk.org/members/100-albums422.html You don't want the military rigid posture but a natural aligned posture..

I have mild-moderate PN in my hands which is a legacy from when I abused alcohol.
I also have moderate Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. What has helped me to stay in remission from these is learning and applying CBT methods. Can you find a clinical psychologist who has experience of using CBT methods when working with his/her clients?

How much it will help I don't know. But surely can't hurt. I'm glad you are open to supplementing, so many are not, but they can help. You could even have a sluggish thyroid, men have issues too. Keep grape seed ex in your mind for maybe some day. |

OP: Investing in a functional/integrative MD could be your best investment. If your issues are "situational" then a psychologist could help. When I had some issues in my life that I could not find a way out, I found, thru a friend, a MFC person and she helped me get thru the problem at hand.
Clinical depression is another issue. We have to learn to be our best doctor I've found in my long life. |
