just a gentle reminder that we would like this thread to stay on topic re poligrip and neuropathy and please not to head off at tangents or become a general discussion on the pros and cons of universal healthcare or of PI lawyers etc

thanks

My apologies, of course you are right. I thought the "ambulance chaser" reference was unnecessary and insulting, *edit* But you are right and I will refrain from further off-topic comment.

Hello,

Hopefully someone here can help me.
I'd like to know if there are any safe alternative denture products that can be used in the mean time? (I'm a little confused on what's safe to use...looks like it's all bad.)

I'm here for my mother, she thinks she might be having some neurological symptoms associated with this poisoning, and is going to get tested ASAP.

She started noticing some symptoms about 6 months ago, but thought they we're being caused by 2 other conditions she has (Type II Diabetes, and Myasthenia Gravis). She only recently made the connection to her Fixodent thanks to a news piece she watched.
As she already suffers from these 2 other conditions, we'd really like to get her off this stuff pronto... but how else will she keep her teeth in?

SeaBond is an alternative.

They don't say exactly what is in it however anywhere on the
web.

They DO state that it does not have zinc.

http://www.sea-bond.com/faq_text.html

It is made from kelp, a seaweed.

I wonder if it has natural iodine in it then? hmmmm?

Thank-you so much! I'll pass this information on to her.
