Biofreeze is not for numbing things. Don't expect a total loss of feeling using it.

It only blocks the heat sensing fibers, temporarily as it stimulates the cold sensing fibers, to have priority in getting to the spinal cord and brain. Menthol and camphor work on itch and pain by only working on some of the afferent fibers in the body.
