I say it is scary but I don't take every article I read to heart. I mean its scary more if it is TRUE.

I am not as cynical as some folks that wont even read an article before disclaiming it, lol

And for that matter, I do believe real vit C is better than ascorbic acid and I made the change BEFORE I read this article, lol

That website is hugely misleading. I searched the thiamine and pigs comment and it is not true. Pigs are given thiamine in their feed, because thiamine is essential for them.

And as far as the sewer sludge comment, here is one way
cobalamin is made:

There are various patents listed for cobalamin manufacture from fermentation.

B12 is only made by living organisms. So it is cultured.
So are the vegan forms of DHA which is made by growing algae in vats.

Articles that slam chemistry should be avoided. Our bodies are one giant complex chemical factory with thousands of reactions going on all the time!

ALA (alpha lipoic acid) is not natural either. It is synthesized and that is why it contains a mixture of R and S forms.
