Talking Nice Reflexology massage today!

I stopped in and got the $27 foot and back massage, wow that was great! It is nice to find a place close by. It was a real massage therapist from China, he really worked all the pressure points in the feet and body. The results are short lived, but it was very relaxing. Can't beat the price, even with a nice tip.
Has anyone else found massage to help with the PN pain? Seemed like it helped awaken some of the nerves, as my feet were tingling like they were waking up, after going numb. I still can feel my feet, but I have occasional numbness. Might be better then the constant pain...

I have given my husband numerous reflexology treatments and they do help. He doesn't like the treatment but he like the results. He's not a fan of having his feet touched. He got over that though once he saw the benefit.

I actually had my feet massaged a bit with a whole body massage and made me burn so did not do that again.

Early on, his feet would buzz and heat up. If was too annoying, (or should I say too stimulating)he would place a cool pack on them for about 10 minutes to calm them down.

With me, it depends on what my feet are feeling, I have a variety of pain levels, from burning pain to not wanting to touch my feet to the ground pain. Maybe this works like the Capsaicin treatment, it is so painful during the treatment that it overwhelms the nerve response, or maybe I a masochist. ;o) He did a lot of work in between the toes, and on the inside of the arch, that is very tight.

The first time I did reflexology on my husband I used a very light touch. I was actually practicing my routine on him and just needed his feet. I knew from my training that he could not withstand the deep stimulation I learned in my classes. To my surprise, he had a very positive response anyway. Thus I learned that a gentle approach can be just as effective. Over time, I was able to go deeper with the reflex technique as his feet continued to heal.

I don't have PN but do have tender feet and I too prefer a more gentle touch.
