Default Prednisone

I have been on Prednisone for many years and am paying the price with the development recently of Osteoporosis. Attempts to get off of it have always caused a severe flareup of PN and my connective tissue disease.

A doctor told me his neurologist friend said I had to get off of Prednisone, because it makes neuropathy worse. Has anyone ever heard this before? If so, why?
