Were the tests all done by the same doctor/facility?
I personally think EMG /NCS testing is very subjective. The experience and technique of the doctor or technician is important and can have a huge bearing on results. It also matters if your symptoms have changed. Do you have any other information you can share about your symptoms...where in hands, what type of pain, has it spread, is there numbness, etc.? And just to note...the skin biopsy is the test needed for small fiber neuropathy SFN. The EMG /NCS cannot determine SFN. |
