I could tell a difference right away when I started taking them (happier, not as quick to react negatively and so on). And the co-workers, employees especially appreciated that I sought help (of course my husband was ecstatic...lol)

Hope this info helps....there are any kinds out there but I was lucky enough to get it right the first time.....7 years was a good run on one I think

Take care and keep us posted.

i take Vaillum 5mg's 2 - 3 a day (am allowed 4) It is used for anxiety as well as Muscle spasms. I often take half or whole one along with my preakthru med (Oxyodone) generic for Percote. I have been taking this does for about 7 years.

Maybe we can get some suggestions from the others on here.

Take care.

Debi,
it is best to have a Pain regular management doctor. I have had my current doctor at least 5 or 6 years. I have had three surgeries since I start going to hiim. I make sure he is on staff at the same hospital the surgeon is doing the surgery or procedure. In all three of my sugeries, my surgeon turned the management of my pain medication to the PMdoctor. But of course, he has too be on staff at the same hospital. This way you are sure to get your regular mediation along with the medication needed to the pain of the procedure. I just read Pam email of 9/24. I am so sorry I didn't realize she did not have her pain doctor. Right now she in the hospital and has been on withdrawal for the past two days.

I feel badly for her.

Actually a bit off topic when mentioning Vallium which is not an antidepressant. Have taken Amitriptyline (Elavil) for several years beginning with the using to help with migraines; eventually for neuropathic pain. It is a tricyclic antidepressant.
